Very nice papinist good job !!
I just talked with john577 about this mod and now we have a good feedback :)

Just one question: Did you test it in the night? They're not to powerfull? they don't disturb other car in front of you? thx ;)
No they don't seem to be too bright. I have to take some picture at night :)

papinist, now you can do another thing. Swap the little T10 bulb for a switchback one

So you can have both sides blinking at the same time :D

:eyebulge: I never thought about that! Yes it could be doable, but maybe it's too much.. then you could have issues about the two switchbacks not switching color at the same time - the risk of 'christmas tree' is always recurrent :D

Edit: also, I like the fact that now it's identical to US spec mustang - to the ones with switchbacks :)

Yea it's doable :)

To have it perfect, we need to find both bulbs from the same manufacturer, so the bulbs will switch color at the same time. But a T10 switchback bulb is really hard to find ...

Anyway, I first NEED this damn switchback bulb !! :headbonk:

Cool thanks for your answer ;)
His version has 20w/pair, the set I ordered has 50w/pair, so I think to bright...

But, I'll put my black vinyl on the light so the output will be dimmed :D

Also, they directly come from China, and we all know that Chinese are to optimistic with their specs !

It looks so easy in the US with the Diode solution.

as from min 2

It's a pitty it ain't that DIY for us overhere. I did the LED swap in our actual DRL but this scares me off for DIY....

Indeed, for the US 'Stang it's so easy.
But the mod for our EU 'Stang seems also easy.

If you intend to do the Tri-bars, then you have to do it at this time. So, at the end, you also need to "rewire" the entire front of the car for that :D

I see 2 empty sockets hanging around. What were these ?
One LED is parking and other one is switchback (in filled up sockets)

Do consider that, for how the things seems only a month ago, it's very easy indeed! Some time ago we are talking about some control module needed for switchback to work in EU model...
For the DD version, reading all threads about the faulty revisions I actually don't mind using an ebay equipment.. at least it does not cost an arm and a leg :D

 if someone of you guys want to do a trip to Italy, I'll install those lights on your cars, for free obviously :D The only one I am not able to mod are the tribars.. but I can install the headlights back - you only need to drive to here without them installed :headbonk:

Do you refer to this picture?

Actually there is one more empty socket, but it's already inside the plastic bag: it's the stock ugly drl connector lights (the one in fog lights) that I disabled months ago.
The two socket you see hangin around are
- fog lights, the grey\red\black one at the bottom
- pedestrian detection sensors, the black one at the top (you have this only on passenger side)

These are disconnected only because bumper is removed and too distant :) When reinstalling the bumper, you have to reconnect them (except for the ugly drl)

Yep those are the ones...Thx for clearing that out.
So the only tricky thing without removal of bumper is the connection with the parking light, right?
I will not have hanging cables as I still use DRL upgraded to LED and this is reasonably acceptable...
Just have to make sure the resistor hangs free...(How hot does it get?)

I removed the bumper because I also have to replace the front lower grille and fog lights.
Yes you can do this by removing wheel and as you said Patrik, but I only have experience with bumper removal :D
Maybe I can add a note to the first post since it seems an important question.

UNtamed67 actually when tried on my test bench, resistor wasn't hot at all. It works only with turning lights so it's barely used!

OK, next week I come to you to mod my rear lights.

I want 3 brake lights and 3 sequential amber lights.

Is it ok for you ? Yes, fine, next week I'll be by you
