Why do you say AWD is out of the question, I remember seeing a post on this site from a fella that had taken delivery of a new GT-350. He took front end apart just to inspect all of the changes to the car and noted the front hubs were had "splines"

I've been inspecting the code for a while on the site. This has been in it for years and is leftover from the s197 mustang. You can still find the 2016 boss 302 in the code too using a well constructed google search (search for "site:ford.com 2016 boss 302")

If you search on deeper "2016 gt500" pages (specs page, safety page, etc.) it still has the 2014 gt500 references too, but still titled as 2016 gt500; same for the "2016 boss 302" pages, which has 2013 boss 302 references with a 2016 page title.
Yep, it looks like poorly maintained meta-data, possibly some quick updates or generators updating only the MY values. Nothing else really.

So I dont think it will be twin screw when Ford and everyone else if going turbo. Besides they have already reserved the EcoBeast name.

that means the Z28 is AWD. DUH! :headbonk:
I'm betting an AWD Camaro is coming... an AWD LT4 though? Probably not...

A z28 would need AWD if they can't find a Voodoo worthy engine. Then again, the GT350 is an entry level purist car and an AWD LT1/LT2/LT3 z28 are different markets.

What if an 800hp AWD GT500 and 500hp AWD z28 were both around $69,995?

No way the GT is a 5.0 V8, the GT350 is a 5.2 V8 and the GT500 will be a V6 even with a turbo (or 2)........ not gonna happen.

Enzo is getting "Twin Screw" confused with "Twin Scroll".

This rumor is accurate BUT, it's still a rumor.

thePill needs to find the Transmission for this and right now, it's the 9007 at 664tq and 800hp.

;)

Twin Scroll... not Screw...

This is what he heard but it's a Twin Scrolling Turbo or, BiTurbo V8. Not a true Tein like the Ford GT.

I was thinking more like a V8 twin turbo more like the AMG GT.

Yeah, you have to also think outside the power potential and start thinking in terms of how the product is sold and marketed.

The more performance oriented Mustangs are GT V8, then GT350 bigger, more powerful V8, and in previous years, GT V8 and GT500 with a bigger AND supercharged V8.

Look at GM's lineup, same logic, they don't have a total change in the core engine platform (i.e., a V8) as they go up the performance scale. They know that's a tricky bit of marketing, and they know their target audience.

I just can't imagine Ford having something like, V6 entry level, I4 Turbo mid-level, GT V8 high end performance, and then the GT500, back to a V6 (even if it's a TT), for ultimate performance.
