Haha... that wasn't even secured properly at the factory. Dealer should fix that. They'll probably clean the contact surface and use an epoxy.

1st dealer said they had to order the entire part. Can't just glue it back on.
2nd dealer pushed it around and snapped it back on. Don't see how that is possible, because that's what I did, and it just came back off, but so far it's still on.

I'm trying to find a manual or video online to see if the glass is adhered on or clips on, because from what I can see, there are no grooves or clips to snap into.

Might be time to complain to corporate.

UPDATE: Yup, it just came back off. Those mother fuckers

Update: Gorilla Glue

Update 3: Called the 2nd dealer back to see if they can annotate this into their system in case it happens again in the future or the heat element stops working, and they said they can't help and I would have to go to my original dealer where I bought the car. ??? This makes no sense, isn't all Ford service centers connected to the same system?

So go back to the first dealer and let them order the part...

Yes all Ford dealers are connected to the same system. The 2nd dealer is being an a-hole and I'd go above his head.

Report the 2nd dealer to Ford. Dealers need to stop passing the buck when it comes to warranty work.

This reminds me of the issue the 05-09 S197 had with faux leather door inserts coming unglued from the door panel. Dealer refused to repair/replace mine even with an ESP that we purchased with the car. We ended up using silicone adhesive to glue it back to the door panel. It worked, but the edges didn't go up into the crease in the door panel, so it never looked quite right.

Went to dealer today. They replaced my puddle light and ordered new mirror glass. Will be replaced sometime next week so it's just flapping around right now :(

I'm officially pissed now. When the glue hardened, it expanded causing the glass edge to stick out
Yep, Gorilla glue expands just like insulating spray foam. Bring it back to the first dealer and demand that they order a new one.

I already knew that too from experience, which is why I made sure I put very small and thin amounts, but it still expanded too much.
