Not all Mach's had the shaker hood. It looks like this was the look they were going after, at least with this rendering.
This looks significantly different from the GTs with that hood. All they did was color the GT extraction vents black.

And shakers are just too damn cool.

I agree, I personally hope if they do a Mach 1 they go with something more like the NASA Ducts on the 71-73's. I was thinking more of replacing those Heat Extractors with Forward Facing Scoops tied to a CAI Setup.

I'm thinking the Mach 1 could either be an OEM version of Ford Racing's Cobra Jet Mach 1 OR, the new program could be called the Cobra Jet Mach 1.

The top of the line Cobra Jets were Mach 1's... The Super Cobra Jet was the 429 equipped Mach 1.

Good info! I'll take one in Grabber Green, the oddest, most unlikely green made. That would be a tip to the 70s.

And for clarification the SCJ's 429 is not the same semi-hemi engine used in the Boss 429 but rather a 385-series engine.

The standard hood scoop on a '69/'70 Mach 1 was a non-functional scoop that was available on any Mustang, with any engine. It incorporated rear facing turn signals, unlike the similar functional '68 1/2 Cobra Jet scoop which looked the same but actually fed air directly to the air cleaner. The '71-'73 NACA ducted hood was non-functional as standard with the option of a ram air system. It would have '351 Ram Air' or '429 Ram Air' call outs on the functional cars as well as having twist style hood hold downs.
the car shown has an incorrect bumper for a Mach 1, in the style of the '71 only Boss 351.
