So after my first outing with my MY17 PP GT with VMP blower at the drag strip, I really want to get the stock drivetrain buttoned up. Well because you see used wheel and tires all the time for sale (compared to the rest of the drivetrain I need to upgrade), I would like to keep an eye out and pull the trigger whenever they may pop up.
I read having a bias ply slick out back is a death trap with a street tire up front. So I assume skinnies up front with some sort of drag tire fixes that?
Anyhow, considering I am around 650 and may increase slightly, what size tire and wheel could get the power down safely? And is some sort of beadlock even necessary?
My best time with literally just rolling off the line at 1500 rpms with 11.87 @127.
