Hi, so I installed an x-pipe with the round Magnaflow mufflers model #10415
the sound is awesome but I cannot bear with the drone, IT IS WAYYY too much.

so i'm thinking of 2 options to get rid of the drone:
1. Put back the factory resonator and keep the Magnaflow mufflers.
OR
2. Keep the X-pipe and install GT OEM mufflers.

Please advise me guys.

buy some performance resonators. An user here used a Mbrp resonator and reported no drone, where his system droned a lot before.

My suggestion would be either replace X pipe with H pipe or stock resonator and if your budget permits go ahead with BBK short tube headers.

I put magnaflow resonators on my x pipes and it took off the rasp that the x pipes added and reduced the drone by like 80% that my flowmaster outlaws gave. But then again the muffler tips got pushed out of the bumper a little so that could of reduced the drone as well.

Does the x-pipe really give an extra power or not? If not I'd just put back the resonator

Any reason why u kept the x-pipe rather than reinstalling the stock resonator?

Guys please tell me, which is better;
Keep the x-pipe and install GT mufflers OR keep the Magnaflow mufflers and put back the resonator.

These are my ONLY 2 options.

Plssssss advise.

Watch my new video of the stock GT exhaust on my V6, it has better audio than before. I imagine with an X-pipe the GT OEMs would have a sharper tone, but I am VERY interested to hear its sound and how much louder that setup would be. I'm very happy with the GTs so far.
