it looks like the ball is removable, Does that mean we can add our choice of shifter handle? i.e old school t handle etc...?

Might just have to get this. Best looking option yet. I was tempted to get the other Barton automatic shifter, but this looks better IMO.

It is removable, we use blue Loc-tite. The thread however is 3/4-16 which is very large. To find another shift knob with that size thread will be about impossible, unless you have machining skills.

When I ordered my Barton Hybrid three, I didn't add the Black Flatstick and knob.... and I don't believe it added to cost. Can I get one now for a better rate?

Thanks in advance....
Are you using the pull up style? Or do you have a brushed flat stick?

I'm running the pull up style that I purchased from Beefcake. I absolutely love the Barton setup and just changed to BG fluid.....

Really helps the shifting!

To go with the flat stick, you would have to replace the WHOLE cartridge which is the most expensive part. If its not your daily drive. You can send us the cartridge and we can rebuild it with the flat stick for $125. Or you can purchase a whole new cartridge for $200

Are the top inlays interchangeable like they are on the pistol grip shifters? Or is the inlay a permanent feature of the shift ball?

I'm thinking about a race red ball, black body, but undecided about the inlay.

Is this the same or lower in total height than the stock shifter?
