Never keep my daily over 4 years. Too many great cars out there not to try as many as I can...

I'm not too sure. I bought mine cash so I can get rid of it pretty much whenever I want without hassle. Some days I kinda want a truck, other days something super ecoonomic, etc. The longest I've owned a car is about 6 years, and more recently about a year and a half or so per car. So who knows.

I must also admit last year a 2005 Lotus Elise came awful close to being the end for my 2015 (I have a 71 also). Practicality like being able to pick up kids and have more than one passenger squashed it...for now.

Since my Mustang is exactly how I dreamed it would be since I was a kid, as long as possible. :)

So which one you like best? Assuming the 18 5.0 with PP level 2 can hang with a 1LE, which one would you prefer?
Hey bud,

Honestly I'd be shocked if the 15 GT PP2 came close, but if it does it will be VERY hard to choose. I love the s550 looks, and the new interior and features are impressive, but man that 1LE can grip (305's in the rear and 285's in the front with magnetic suspension on the alpha platform).

I test drove a C6 Z51 last Monday (was going to trade it), but kept the 1LE after getting back into it and realizing that it was just that good.

My favorite car of them all was the C7, but that was a little bias there since I'm a vette guy at heart (I've owned 5 of them).

When the thrill of walking up to it every morning, looking out the window at it every night, getting up at dawn on Sunday morning just to take a drive with the top down...maybe then I may trade it...but only for another Mustang. After 50 years of driving other cars I realize that a Mustang is what I really wanted all along.

I'm 71, so I'm sure it will be sold when I die. I only put about 3,000 miles a year on it, so when it's sold it should have really low miles and it will be in great shape.

I never kept cars for more than 5 or 6 years. I still have 3 bikes tho... 1982,2002, 2012. But this is the first car I've ever customized, all of my others were always kept stock, including the ST I traded in on the mustang.

Since I've customized this car, like my bikes, I see me keeping it for a really long time.

My truck I've had for over 10 years. With the raising cost of vehicles I can see holding on to the Mustang at least until 2027.

A few people here have said they'd pass on the car to kids.

Obviously, this body / series have only been around since 2015 so we'll see how long they last, but I've never thought to pass on a > 2000 car to a kid. Maybe I guess?!?

A friend just restored '65 convertible for his friend. Ok - a classic car being brought back to life. I'd love to have time to do that.

I dunno if in about 40 years a kid of mine or another owner would want a '16 ecoboost convertible and go through the pain of whatever might be wrong with it.

(the restored car attached)

Well after trying to fit. My 51 yr. old. 6.4 inch, 260 pound body in a Corvette. I plan on keeping the Mustang forever. Was planning to trade for a Vette. But that car is just to damn uncomfortable to be trapped in. Getting in and out is a gymnastic move for me. So a supercharger and coilovers are going on the Mustang. And it's now a keeper.
LOL I just sold my Z06 and I have the same specs but a couple of years older. The mustang seats me better as I feel like I sit in them more than on them as I did in the vette...

I'm over 2 years in and definitely keeping it for another 4 years! Honestly, unless something really awesome comes out in 4 years, I might due FI of some sort and keep it even longer!!
