Was at the dealers in Inverness yesterday and the assistant sales manager confirmed from 4th January prices are increasing by £500 for the GT. I'm assuming the EB will also get this increase.

Just thought I would pass this bit of info on to the community - interested to also hear if anyone else has heard similar?

So if my car finally turns up this month, a year after I ordered it, it'll be worth £1510 more as I am getting it at the original price and pre £10 tax increase :D

Plus you'll probably get the 2016 maps and it'll be a 2016 car (slightly more valuable for resale).

A September build but only just arrived? Mine was built two months later and fingers crossed will be with me in a couple of weeks as long as the wiring loom recall does not cause any delay.

Tell me about it :(

Although the UK kept telling me it was on it's way despite the US telling me it was still at the factory.

Was over a month before it moved from Dearborn, then sat at Baltimore for a while.

Once it got to Zeebrugge, Karen chased it on to a transport to Southampton for a quick turn around, but it has now sat at Southampton Docks since the 19th Dec.

Stuck thanks to the Christmas shutdown.

I'm not sure how they do this but my worry is that as more arrive, my car gets stuck at the back and keeps being missed.

Hence how come some are getting to their owners really quickly whilst others are taking forever.

I don't think it matters when it was built, the maps are on an SD card that is installed at the dealers.

On the price increase, I'm surprised it's not more than £500 to be honest. I was talking to a couple of guys at the petrol station while I was filling my car up - "how much was that mate, about £60 or 70k?" They were amazed when I said £36k.

Don't tell 'em Pike!

I've also been asked how the hell I can afford a car like that on more than one occasion in the two weeks since I picked it up.

International drug smuggler and hit man are my current favourite answers. :D

im pretty sure most of my neighbours think I must be an unlicensed chemist or spy!

one of the most common comments on it is just how good value for money they are

You should ask for the current maps when you pick it up. I got a new SD card through the post from Ford a month after buying my 'pre-loved' Mondeo. Just slot in and off you go. Definitely should be bang up to date on a brand new car. It's not your fault it's sat around for weeks and it's no skin off their nose.

Yep, if i'm not mistaken the SD card should say F5, not F4?

Yup - F5 is the latest / current version. I don't know how often HERE update their maps, and if they then need to give them to Ford to make / distribute. Are they Ford branded?

My dealer has informed me that they have increased "£1500 since they were first released for sale". Is this latest increase just another £500, and they have already increased £1000 previously?
