The cars were still in great condition - July/August. I was impressed by their condition.

Just can't get enuff!
nicely-driven.
I love the east track...dig the west too. it's all good at UMC.
Yeah last year I did the West and even reviewed my previous vids to refresh my track memory... but I'm glad we did the East this time around as I can now claim I did both tracks. And the East was 'easier' than the West IMO. Loved it! :headbang:

# 16 there was the car I had ;)
And she's still lookin mighty fine... :D

Great times for sure! It was my first experience on the track there a few months ago and since I have ordered a MY 18 R with plans on getting some more track time.
Worth the repeat trip!

Excellent! I'm looking forward to my return. How were the cars? I was at the first track attack back in April of '16. The cars were brand new then. What is the condition of the cars when you were there?
Cars were still looking good although under the engine bay you can tell the dust has accumulated, obviously since they don't detail everything.

The AG w/ LB stripes I drove was G0083. Here I am hunting down the Magnetic cousin.... :first:

For the Instructor fast laps in the end, I rode in a Black PP014. :)

They also mentioned it's typically after every 3 track days the car would get a new set of OEM brake pads.

And a couple of more pics of my #9.... plus here's the car's service log... it was in my center console. :D

Do the cars have telemetry or you were just running an app on your own device? If so, what mount setup do you have? I'm going soon and it'd be cool if they data logged and gave you telemetry like that..

I just use a high quality/sturdy windshield suction-cup mount (mine below) for my iPhone turned landscape view and I run Track Addict Pro app (many also use Harry's app). These apps already have the track map layouts (UMC's East or West) so you just choose and start. No on board telemetry from FPRS... but that would have been cool!

Note: the school does not allow your phone or gopro video cams to be mounted outside the car. They also do not allow stick ons. You have to use a suction cup inside or since there's a roll bar behind you can also utilize a clamp on the bar. You're assigned the same car for the entire day... they'll have your last name on the windshield.

Thanks for the info. I've used Harry's app in the past but didn't have a great mounting solution. I won't have enough time to get one for my TA session but I'll get one in the future before my next track day. I wasn't planning on bringing any camera stuff but I guess I'll bring a GoPro, suction mount, and roll-bar mount for some interior video.

Nice. I believe my lap times were 1:52 - 1:53 consistently. Then my instructor did a 1:49 and humbled me lol.

Lol but still nice & quick! Lower to mid 1:50's is a good time for us newbs there at their track... after all they have countless seat time there so I do expect a sub-:50 from them. There are sections I see in my vids where I can chop off time here & there... particularly in turn 1 where I can trail brake lighter to carry momentum and again in turn 2 where I should be going flatout instead of lifting right at the turn in apex... and also in the Attitude sector where I should be late apexing it more at the first attitude. It's a technical yet fun course to dissect and try to improve on... with more seat time and in optimal track conditions for sure we can get to the 1:50 mark and maybe even a sub fifty. :D

Here's the single clean lap clip of my fastest run....

For those who are still contemplating or procrastinating to do the GT350 Track Attack at FPRS UMC, I just say what a waste and ashame if you pass up this opportunity... I'd recommend to even pass it on to a relative if you can't go. :p

I miss south fla and all the exotic cars. Thx for all the shots. It’s been over 36 years. I remember seeing the Pantara in a Ford showroom. Visited a friend a few years ago and could not recognize some areas. Especially Ft lauderdale airport. Palm beach has the most flamboyant cars on the planet.

Yeah... in south FL, one can see almost any exotic car. Lambos & McLarens are everywhere!

Even rare breeds... here's chassis #001 of the infamous F50 (owned by a local collector Dennis and he drives it all over) with its F1-derived screaming wailing V12. Across the street on the right side of the pic is a blue DeTomaso Pantera with the Ford 351 Cleveland... its rear engine bonnet up.

I know I post alot of diff cars in my thread but I'm a fan of many sports & exotics cars... my world doesn't revolve around Mustangs only but of course I also like them.
Here's a bunch of 720S daddy macs... these exotic things are 9-sec 1/4 mile beasts right out of the box!
