Not to bore anyone but just trying to inform some folks on exactly what those numbers on your tires mean and how to convert them to numbers you can relate to.

For example I'll do the GT PP front and rear:

Front 255/40/19

"255" stands for how many mm wide the tires are.
"40" is the thickness "aspect ratio" which is actually 40% of the width.
"19" is the rim size in inches.

So to convert the numbers to inches you divide the mm by 25.4

255/25.4=10.039

Now that we know the width of the tire, to get the thickness multiply that by .4.

10.039x.4=4.016

Now to put it all together multiply the thickness by 2 and add it to the wheel diameter to get the overall diameter of the tire.

4.016x2=8.032 so then 8.032+19=27.032

255/40/19 converted to inches is 10.039 inches wide and 27.032 inches tall

Rear 275/40/19 converts to 10.827 inches wide and 27.661

With that said, actual sizes can vary. I hope this helps anyone who wasn't sure what all those numbers stood for.

I seen some questions about this so I dug it back out.
