I've boiled 4 month old RBF600 with ducts and R12 pads. Thankfully I think the ducts saved me as I never fully lost the pedal.
I actually think my 18" wheels may have contributed to warmer calipers than normal as there is very little clearance there now, not much airspace.
I may run SRF next season but I bought RBF in bulk and have enough to finish the season out.
Never had an issue with stock fluid on stock-ish tires with stock pads.
