Family tradition

Went over to hang out with my uncle this afternoon & got a few pics of our Shelbys together... My '17 & his '66 6S1289 and his nicely done '67 clone. Kinda patriotic too! :ford:

Yeah. I'd kill for that '66. I just watched the Hertz GT350 episode on Jay Lenos garage on YouTube today and what a gorgeous car. Timeless style

Funny, the '66 is actually an original black/gold Hertz car. The previous owner painted it the white/blue almost 30 years ago & my uncle hasn't had the nerve to repaint it yet lol

Nice! I like the fact that Ford still ties the shock towers to the firewall with that black angled bracket - now that's tradition!

Love all of those outstanding cars especially "6S1289"!

Looks like a fiberglass hood, Koni shocks and of course using a Motorcraft oil filter.

Also looks like the battery is located in the trunk!
