^^^ Sorry, however I am happy for you that you were able to put your issues behind you.

What's under the orange and black cover? Its not a Camaro is it? :D

No, another motorcycle, a KLR650 dual sport.

Yeah, that was the goal, just to put the whole sordid affair behind me.

But enough of all that, an R is a special car. I'm glad you were able to pick one up at a good price point.

Also, I giggle a little every time I look at the picture where you physically put painter's tape over the license plate. :)
The photo of the car with the painters tape over the plate is of the car as soon as I got back from the dealer. The car was wrapped with road wrap and when I ran out of that, I had to use blue painters tape to cover the A pillars, side view mirrors, etc. So as soon as I got home, I began pulling all the wrap and tape off the car and figured I would take a few pics. I threw a few leftover pieces of tape that were somewhere else on the car from transport onto the license plate instead of photshoping to de-identify my plate number.

You don't think I drove home like that, did you? :D

What I did worked very well. Not a nick or scratch on the car anywhere. PPF will be applied to a perfect surface. I plan to drive this car and enjoy it. It will not be a garage ornament (like my other R will be). ;)

Today, I weighed the CF wheels with a new set of cup 2's mounted. At the request of Minn19 , Here are the findings:

Front wheel (a tad over 46#)

Awesome thanks! When I get my wheels in, I'll post a comparison total weight for people that are curious.

I thought I weighed my 6gr's when I got them. I don't know if I recorded the weights, but I do remember they were fairly close to the R CF.

The car is still in the shop having Xpel applied. Since the shop is an hour away I asked for a photo of the work being done. I am on a trip returning the night of the 15th and will pick her up on the 16th. I will do a full report when I do.

Today I picked up HR361 after about 2 weeks of being away. She had a full Xpel done to include some of the parts of the car which were not available from Xpel via template. The majority of the car was done in Xpel Ultimate and the stripes were done with Xpel stealth. The roof was wrapped in gloss black. The stripes had to be removed so as to avoid any lines in the finished product.

Below are a few photos of the process.

When I arrived today to go over her and take her home, I went over every square inch of the car. A few small items needed attention, but overall the job was excellent. I was on my way in about an hour or so.

Here are some photos of the car upon acceptance.

So much to do and so little time...... Tomorrow, I hope to jet a jump on installing the tow hook, rock guards, splitter, and zl1 splitter washers. More to follow.

Looks great!
Also, XPEL STEALTH looks virtually invisible.... By looking at the stripes, you can't even tell that it's there. These guys did an outstanding job. Enjoy!
