Oh yes, smoked meatloaf.

I've done that a couple of times with a twist. What I have done is take two dinner plates and cover them both with a thick layer of meatloaf mixture, essentially making two giant, molded hamburger patties. Put ham and cheese and/or whatever else you might want on one of these patties-on-plates, then flip the other over and on top of that one. Squish the edges of the two patties together to seal the edges and remove the top plate, then carefully flip the whole thing onto your smoker grate and pull off the other plate. Sprinkle with seasoning and let it roll.

And then there's buffalo turds, the ultimate appetizer: half a jalapeno, stuffed with cream cheese and a cocktail weenie, wrapped in a half-strip of bacon, sprinkled with rub.

I grew up in Kansas with some great BBQ, it's pretty limited around here in FL right now but I'm going to get pulled pork and rib combo tonight because of this thread

Wow, small world, I'm smoking a turkey meatloaf as we speak. Added garlic and minced mushrooms into the mix with panko and Moroccan spices.

And Strokerswild, sounds like that is one giant Juicy Lucy!.

I do jalapeno poppers (what we call them here) all the time but never tried it with a weenier in it. I have dont junks of chicken in there and I have also used goat cheese as well.

Here is a couple things I made in the past:

Santa Maria Style Tri Tip (got it pre-marinated from a specialty meat market by my house)

Smoked 3 hours with me adding a marinade of oil oil, red wine vinegar, and garlic on it every 30 mins (flipping it each time)

First Brisket I ever made in my smoker last year. Learned alot from that experience....

Some random burgers shaped like the best state ever!

Definitely worth a try.

We've tried all sorts of things inside, all good. Jalapenos, hard boiled eggs, you name it.

For the folks that use a dry rub, do you buy it pre made, or mix your own?
I generally mix my own as I cant seem to find a premixed rub that isn't mostly salt, or be the only thing you can taste.

I always use premade rubs, too lazy to compile a recipe for one of those.

I have made my own BBQ sauce though, of which the recipe is top secret. ;)

Mix my own. I got lazy one day and used a pre made rub......almost had a riot on my hands everyone knew after the first bite.

I'd give you my recipe but its measured in handfuls and half handfuls.

I guess if there is enough interest I could make a vid.

I will say people go nuts for my BBQ, people actually try to hire me. lol
