More reason to make sure to buy OEM then. I have done 4 different sets of wheel/tires in the past 2 years, all with OEM sensors and all 4 synced by themselves with no scan tool needed.

So the ones you buy from american muscle and other mustang companies, are

1) More expensive

2) Not OEM

3) Need to have to buy a special tool to sync them?

4) No different than a stock tpms?

Why does anyone buy those?

5) I'm shopping around for ones that ship to canada. What's the difference between
TPMS35 F2GZ-1A189-A

and

F2GT-1A189-AB

that I'm finding on ebay and amazon for the s550?

Just get these. I have been buying from this seller for years. I purchased 3 sets of these for 3 different wheel combos on my 2015 and 2017 mustang as well as other cars including my 2015 F150 and can verify fitment and a great seller. They will come out of package but new and genuine OEM Ford.

You probably wont find them any cheaper, I couldn't.

why does the description say " •Must be programmed to vehicle by Ford or with TPMS Programmer"

I know you mentioned that they sync themselves, but just want to be sure since Ford will probably try to charge me to sync them.

edit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-2017-M...ash=item43fea373c9:g:6dUAAOSwr~lYrJWH&vxp=mtr - these ones ship to canada! these should work also?

These fit multiple year and make Ford vehicles, some will not self learn but the Mustang does.

Reading the description yes those should work fine

I would buy new sensors, and don't buy them from AM, they sell off brand generic sensors, get oem Ford sensors, which can be had from multiple ebay sellers for about $80/set

I ask because I see different part numbers and I'm trying to spend as little as possible. I knew not to get AM and to go only Ford parts. Just want to buy once.

Glad I saw this thread in the new posts as this is an issue I may be about to come up on. Is ebay really the best way? I have only had 1 personal ebay buying experience and it was terrible enough for me to never want to do business through that site again.

Thanks Jamie, if nothing changes with the information here, I will go with what you've bought in the past since you have a 17; will pay a little for more for the surety that they will work. If clevernickname gets the Blue Oval ones and they work, then I might save a $$'s and go with those.

@Jmeo Jamie, what is the difference between these other than price? You said these will work and you've used them...http://www.ebay.com/itm/171889613623?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

compared to these...

I have the style sensor you listed that are a little cheaper. My front 2 sensors fault out quite often. I can't say they are exactly those, but definitely same style. I just ordered the ones Jmeo posted. Figured I would give them a shot since he has had good luck with them.
