Hey guys, at my wits end trying to find a cooling solution without having to resort to replacing the transmission.

Can someone who has done the retrofit please confirm if the Ford Performance Trans cooler kit M-7095-M8S will fit the Tech package trans or does it have to be replaced with a Track trans as well.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The kits purpose is to be used with the replacement transmission. It gives new bolts for the drive shaft, lines, cooler and all the other parts needed. You can purchase just the parts you need from Ford and set up an external pump and manual switch setup without swapping transmissions.

I'm currently gathering parts to do with myself. Once I get everything together I will have a parts list to share with everyone. Including fittings/lines/OEM parts etc...

You don't need the whole kit, just get the radiator, air scoop, and associated bolts.
Mike R at Autonation Ford White Bear Lake can set you up - he got the right parts for me. Then finish the job using 8AN hose and an external pump. I just finished mine this past weekend and will post a write up after I track it this coming weekend.

This is awesome! Glad I reached out and really appreciate the advice. I'm going to reach out to Mike tomorrow.

How long did it take to do the install?

Side_Pce....thanks for the parts list! That is very helpful. What is the Cooler Line Bracket Part # FR3Z7B147A used for if we use our own AN Braided Hose?

What Pump did you go with? Where is the best place to purchase the AN Hose and Fittings?

Side_Pce...sorry for all the questions. What type of fittings are needed to adapt from the Ford Cooler to the AN hose?

The cooler fittings are actually GM quick disconnect fittings (Dorman 800-603). I purchased the bracket for the cooler line, and the forward section of the line and the bolts to attach it because I may use them. They are not needed if you want to run AN lines from the cooler to the trans. I was going to make a hybrid to ease the install through the engine bay.

I went with a Weldon 9200 as recommended by FP, but I may go another route. Undecided yet.

Omniservices has locations all over the country if you are close to one Id try them for AN fittings.

Side note: you can just edit your reply instead of replying multiple times. I will respond to any question.

I purchased my stainless steel braided lines from eBay, great prices for 20ft pieces. Approx $30 if I remember correctly. Very little pressure will be in these lines so don't go paying an arm and a leg for line from a specialty shop.

Dorman 800-603 quick connect may fit the Ford Cooler, but then you are left with a male NPSM fitting... How do you connect that to braided line? Pretty rare fitting.

I just connected the 8AN hose directly to the Ford radiator with a clamp and Gates 32915 PowerGrip Hose Clamp. You need a larger diameter Gates clamp to get over the lip of the radiator connector . I think the clamp with the connector lip is pretty good though.

What fittings/clamps did you use on the transmission drain/fill side?
