Front: 255x40 r19
Rear: 285x35 r19

Front: P-Zero

Is anybody running the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's in a 285/35R19 config on a GT/PP? That appears to be the largest size they make for a 19".

They do make a 305/35R20 which would be interesting if it would square up on the GT/PP. Although I have no idea what a 20" would do or feel like on a track (road) setting. Is there a reason why the 350/350R stayed with 19"?

Going back to the start of the thread to see how it is done. I don't want any MPH changes on the speedo but would be nice to get a sett of these rims. Unfortunately I'm sort of set on staying with the Firehawks. They are great DD tires, even when wet.

285/35R19 is a great size. 0.8" wider tread width than the 275/40R19.

Square I'm assuming also?

One other thing I was considering was to see if there are any rules that may or may not apply with regards to track(s). I do not know if autocross has anything (guessing they do) or HPDE. I'm not into anything competitive but would like to buy things once rather than twice out of ignorance just to be safe.

Edit: Thanks btw.

I much prefer how the car drives with square setup, and if you can get get a rotatable wheel setup that's even better (I have 19x9.5 all around at +35 offset, so I can move them to any corner).

The SCCA has rules for wheel widths and diameters. With the suspension you're throwing on, you'll be in STP or CAM-C, which have pretty generous allowances. Since your focus is on fun, just get what makes sense to you.

Let us know what you think of this setup!

The 5-spoke wheel design keeps the muscular look and makes the GT look much more aggressive.

Exclusively for 6G members, see it first here!
Worlds first 2018 Black Ford Mustang GT on 345's rear tires.
The newly re-design body looks very sexy with the Project 6GR wheels in Gloss Black.
Let us know what you think of this combo?!
