I found these in my trunk, under the carpet in the spare tire well. I have no idea where they came from. One looks broken. I also found two springs rattling around down there.

Where did these come from?

Ahhh, ok.

I have no idea when or how they broke. Also the fact that I never noticed means I'm not sure I really care. I'll take a closer look later and decide if I'm gonna bother.
Yeah, I think it's just a cosmetic thing to partially cover the latch mechanism (I guess if it's greasy, it helps keep things clean too).

yep the trunk latch covers, they don't look broken maybe you can fit them back on. Does your trunk latch have a big opening on it ?
