Why are you buying a 2017 GT instead of waiting?

I bought a 17 base GT 6 speed back in June for $30,800 out the door. Reasons (in order):
1. Didn't wanna pay the premium for the 2018
2. didn't wanna wait for the 2018
3. wasn't a huge fan of the new front end
4. all the cool stuff for the 2018 that enticed me were optional and not standard (refer to #1)

I wouldn't wait just in case the world ends in 5 years. Just enjoy whats out now and be happy. If the world is still around in 5 years and you still want one, save for it or trade the old one in.

Yeah,OK. Save your charts and/or graphs for Trump's I.Q. test.
The instrument for his test has already been determined ...

Yeah, that all makes good sense, especially if you're not going to select any of the new '18 options, you're really left with a small HP bump, a $1000 increase to the PP package (if inclined), and less bargaining power (I would +assume+ on that last point).

The '18 is already starting to grow on me and I bought a '17. When I first saw the refresh I was like omg what did they do??? Now the more I look at it, the more I get it. Funny how that happens. Bottom line is they are both great looking cars and I think Ford has been killing it in the styling department. I got a fair deal on the '17 GT PP and I wanted white platinum so I pulled the trigger. I'm sure I could have got an amazing deal but after about hour 2 in the dealership I'm so ready to bail I'll sign anything lol. I bet Ford loves people like me!

I bought a 2017 GT primarily because my last car drowned in hurricane Harvey and I needed another vehicle quickly.
I also prefer the 2017 styling.
I have always liked Grabber Blue, and 2017 was the only year to offer that color.
Lastly, I can't justify paying $50k for a new Mustang

Because $32k Out the door for a PP GT.

That being said, the 2018 will be worth every penny once it starts getting discounted just like every other Ford. Tired of hearing how insecure everybody is driving the last model year...

Were there people that we’re insecure? I have no regrets. Heck, I only bought mine 2 weeks ago!

With that said, as pointed out, the price on a 17 was too good to pass up. The 12 inch gauge cluster is cool, as well as some of the other perks but enough to sway me.

Me too and my PP GT is 3 weeks old today. (I just didn't like the Darth Vader look of the front end either).

17 gt premium auto .. sticker was 39.5. I paid 32 + ttl. I figure an 18 would have been about 6k more.

$44,370 MSRP. This was a custom order for a 2017 Mustang GT Premium with the Performance Pack, Premier Trim, Enhanced Security, 401A, Nav.

Paid $36900 after $750 private cash before TTL.
I put $10,000 down and traded in a vehicle for $13,000.
Financed through my credit union at 1.85%.

The cash rebates outweighed the financing rebates in the long run. This was probably the best deal I've ever done on a new car.

I bought a '17 Grabber Blue base GT a couple of weeks ago. Auto trans & 3.55 diff are the only options.
I had an '07 Vette and got tired of constant expensive repairs, so I sold it and bought the Mustang. I don't care about having the latest, greatest model, so waiting on the '18 and paying more $$$ didn't cross my mind. Like the others, my discount was about $7500 off. I think the GT is a bargain.
