BMR makes great components, used them on my boosted GTO. I was planning on modding my GT350 but this engine scares the shit out of me. I'm at 2500 miles and have a nasty valve train noise and oil consumption issue that just started. This is my first Ford performance ford product, so I am in untested waters here. I have to say that my H/C and 2 supercharged LS motors held up well. Hopefully the same with this motor.
Is your valvetrain noise only on warm up? Does it go away once it's over 180? Pretty much all performance cars that I've owned drink a qt of every 2000-3000 miles, kind of normal to me. Im only at 1000 miles, going to see what happens, worst case I'll pull the motor and let MPR go through it, make it bulletproof.

what happened to the twin turbo 2015?
I sold it, several reasons. My days were numbered in that car, couldn't get traction on any type of surface, needed a cage, and I was ready for a change. Couldn't be happier with my 350.

Hey man .
Any update from weld ?
Any thoughts on this tire?
Trying to figure out what to put on my spare wheel .

NT 05 R 345/30 19.-27.36 and closets stock height .
It's sure is wide and will look killer if it fits.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/372075...7290-0%26rvr_id%3D1314161725499&ul_noapp=true

I still like the MT 325/30 19's .They are shorter but still not enough side wall.
There is a MT 285/35 19 - shortest at 26.9 but narrower than the fronts .

How much difference would a 35 vs 30 profile really make ?

I've been harassing Weld, still no answer yet. I'd go with a 305/35-19 S/S, I cut 1.4's and went 9.3's@152 on 20's so I know they can handle power. I think that 345 is too wide will sway like a mofo and too heavy, same thing with the 325, and the 285 would work but wouldn't look great. I think our drivetrains are still unproven, not sure how they'll hold up to big launches on big heavy sticky tires, which is why I'm holding out for lightweight 17" Welds with 305's, should hear back any day.

Thanks man.
I had tried the older version of the MT's -305/35 19's .
I am NOT a "hotshoe" like you but the best I got out of them was a 1.9 when I ran my PB so far if 12.4@117 mph .
They are the same height as stock and I think the car really needs more gearing to get a better 60 ft .
I had them mounted on my old SVT PP 19 wheels but the fronts would not fit .
Sold the wheel/tire combo with the fronts.

I will probably try the 325/30 MT's since they are shorter and I may even swap the 4.10 pumpkin with LSD I was building for my KB car (I am hoping that will go 9's with a shorter 26 inch tire)

Hey man .
Any updates on those Weld wheels (I just got a pair of 15 x 9.33 for my KB car )?
Can't wait -always wanted a pair but was always being cheap and getting race stars
-even cheaper now as I have been buying the bracket racers .lol

It will be a nice change as I already have five pairs of race stars between the 2 GT 's -three 17x 9.5's and two 15x 8's

I am thinking of biting the bullet and getting the MT 325/30 19 for the spare OEM wheels I have .
The car in the thread below went 11.7@116 with a 1.7x 60 ft tire despite the side wall .

I was waiting to install my lowering springs first as the shorter tire will make that damn wheel gap even worse .

I actually called Weld again today, waiting to hear back from them. I already know my car isn’t going to hook on the stock tires anymore, need a better option. I’m not sure there is an option smaller then 19’s.

Just want to add to this thread.

I went to the strip today and didn’t put down a decent time, but my mph was great.

Comparing to your slips made me quite happy. I knew my car was strong in the top and this proves it.

P51 wheels with 30 series MPS4
Ford Performance Borla exhaust
Ford Performance springs

Mix of 91 and 94 E10 fuel. Stock tune , base car with no magnaride. Settings were drag mode with TC off. SC on. 2000DA

2.17 60ft
[email protected]

Track wouldn’t let us run a full 1/4. Was cold.

I feel my car knocking on the 120mph door.

Very Impressive driving. Nice to see what it will do in hands of mortals.
I didn't think it would be the quick on the strip. I suspect a lot has to do with your
experience.

Good work Darkane. Your 90mph should get you to 118-119 range. Did you make any other passes? Those lightweight P51’s, catback exhaust, and higher octane fuel are helping your mph, get that 60 down and your et’s will drop as well. Thanks for posting up your results.

I now have a full exhaust, tune, and some BMR suspension pieces, hope to make a pass next week. Still looking for a solution for wheels and tires....

Thank you sir! I enjoy trying to get everything out of a completely stock car, these 350’s are definitely more capable then the magazine results.

I hope so. Stock Terminators went mid 12s. A $65,000 Mustang 15 years later running in the same range is just not acceptable.

Yes I did. I made four passes and went 89-91 mph. I couldn’t maintain consistent full throttle until third gear. Couple times I wheel hoped second gear. It wasn’t pretty and I let off to 60% and then back on again. Track was less than ideal.

As for the fuel I doubt it made much difference, it was a blend. If I had all 94 (E10) it might have run at max timing. But at my elevation it usually always does anyway (track is 2200ft).

I swear I’m not technology inept, I just have to resize the pictures on my phone and post them up.
