so just have a few questions seeing if someone can help answer them regarding datalog and reading it. this is in regards to a supercharged car.

1. with spark advance under wot say 15 deg, do you use that max number and the -1.50 knock retard number together?

sort like 15 plus the -1.50 and get max 16.5 timing?

2. also what tables determine max spark timing? coolant, inlet temp and so on?

3. what the average max timing are you guys seeing with a complete stock auto car with say a paxton setup 3.6 pulley and 93 pump gas?

4. is there away to know thru datalog what the max timing could be under wot?

thanks

1. The spark advance number is the actual timing. The knock number means it's adding 1.5 degrees from the base timing to get to 15.

2. Not sure completely what tables it uses, but it definitely uses knock, coolant, inlet temp. There might be more.

3. On my car, I was seeing 16 degrees on shitty CA 91 oct, and the 3.8. Most guys with 93 tend to be in the 18-19 range on 93 and the 3.8, so with the 3.6 you're in the right timing ballpark.

4. Talk to your tuner about how much timing you can get, but you're in the right ballpark on 93. Depends on your tuner, fuel, etc.

Total spark represents timing added or pulled so don't worry about adding.

93 octane I'd like to see 16* on a street tune and 18* on a track tune

E85 I'd like 20* street and 22* on the track
