F1A on a 426ci hemi, 17psi. Intercooler became heat soaked during regular driving. Prochargers blow a lot of hot air when pushed. IAT sensor is located post intercooler. In fairness it does look like the HO kit is a bit better as far as intercooling goes on the s550. I regularly saw 180-190* IATs after a dyno pull or end of 1/4 mile.

Why yes my friend...

Let's put it this way, I like cars...
I just can't seem to own one for more then months at a time.
We added up just how many Fox Body Mustangs alone I have owned.
(15) of them... one brand, one body style. LOL.

I have a bad habit, and my GF thinks I am crazy.
i feel ya. I'm on my 16th Mustang, and my 4th 2013 (my favorite year). I call them my "Financial Mustakes." Oh yeah, my closet contains about 95% black T-Shirts. Lol

An F-1A on that large of a motor and that much boost, is at the end of the line.
So its a total heat pump at that point.

A larger F-1X would be more suited at that point.

or

One of our newer F-1A-94's that can move much cooler air at that power level.

Plus the S550 fits about twice or more the intercooler the HEMI cars do :)
Dang Ford making ALLL the room up front.

Hey procharger dude, I got a random question for you. Is the F1A the largest blower that fits on the S550 stage 2 bracket, or can I throw an F1A-94 on here, or an F1X?

Would be swapping to an air to water intercooler setup so I'm not concerned about temps from the blower too much.

Ohh good question!!
Well, here is the simple answer.

Guys go 7's with Coyote's and F-1A-94's....

So chances of ANYONE needing an F1X at this point is about "0" :)

And yes the F1A94 fits just fine. :)
But you have to be on race gas or E85 only, because we can't turn it down for pump gas. ;)

needing an F1X and wanting an F1X are two different things ;)

Not worried about Pump gas or race gas cause the car has a wastegate on it. Planned for race gas at the track though.

Right....

I just hate seeing F-1X's on cars that don't need them.
Then you are spinning WAY to big of a blower, at the bottom of its power band.

I had a LOT of guys tell me "no way, I am doing it anyways"
Then they wonder why F1A94 cars smoke them at the track.

Right blower for the right job. :) :ford::cheers:

I planned on buying the F1A-94 from you guys either way if it fit.

How would I order one, just call you guys up?

I’m trying to decide on a Whipple Gen 3 or a procharger D1x. Can’t make up my mind. I think either will get me to 800 wheel easily. Help!

Well I had a procharger it is a good product but I was disappointed with the power delivery. The 5.0 is small and could use help on the low and mid range witch the whipple does. So if I it were to do it again for the street definitely whipple or turbo.

P1sc1 but it made power. 702whp 562tq. The same day put 4 gallons of 100 in. Pulled 751whp 593tq. I even had a wastegate to make the midrange better it made it better but still nothing like a whipple.
