Which would you choose and why?

I'm getting ready for boost and I'm struggling to make a decision on which system to go with. I rarely go to the drag strip, I'll drive it about twice a week and it's an Automatic :help:

whipple guys will say whipple, procharger guys will say procharger.

then the turbo guys will chime in, lol

in all honesty, you can't go wrong with any system on these cars, comes down to driving style really

give us a call, were the forced induction specialists and we'll get you dialed in with a combo that suits your needs

Can't lose either way. Will make similar power tune dependent and both will run mid to low 10s on 93. I went PC bc I already had the GT350 IM and was one of the first to try it boosted. The Whipple is a bit more difficult to install from what I understand but pulling the IM is cake. If I had not had the intake manifold I probably would've gone Whipple because both my Terminators have been Whipples and put down great numbers and times. That being said, the Procharger didnt disappoint at all.

I went with the procharger because it was WAY cheaper.
Same for me.
How much do you guys have in your Procharger setups? I'm asking because I don't think it's really the case. When I researched superchargers, I looked hard at the Procharger, and by the time you get a complete kit with tuning, you're real close to what a Whipple stage two kit is, especially if you wait for one of Whipples 15% off sales(which is right now through Lethal).

I got my Whipple stage 2 for under 7k shipped. And that kit is complete, tuning, fuel, everything you need to get up and running.

Stage 2 system is around $6600 including ID1000s, BAP and plugs. Mine was close to 7k with D1SC and helical gears.

I'm in roughly 5200 into mine after selling my JLT intake and UPR catch can, that includes ID1000s, fuel, tune. I waited and got a great deal on a new kit from a member here, unopened. Even used whipples people still want 7000 for them on the classifieds.

See that's what I was coming up with and since I didn't have an nGuage that would have added even more.

I don't think you can compare buying a second hand kit(even though it's new) to buying from a retail operation. Also factoring in selling parts you already paid for doesn't make sense either. You would have sold those parts regardless.

Using that mentality, I'll deduct my Airaid and JLT catch can AND I might as well factor in the points I got on the credit card for charging the Whipple. Shit, I'm only into my Whipple for around $6400! Lol

Ok, Im ~5500 into mine. That make you feel better? Why cant I compare my brand new kit that was never opened to your brand new kit? Dont ask questions you dont want the answer to. Make sure you add the interest you're paying as well.

I shopped around and got my HO kit real cheap ..I mean REAL cheap .. But added 1d1000 injectors and a twin pumps for E85 ..A good custom tune added to that price also .. But the out come was worth it seeing that I'm quicker than some of the more costly kits ..I can't stress this point any harder .... You have shop around to get a great price but it was worth all the time spent doing it ..

What makes you think I paid interest? I don't buy car mods if they can't be paid for in full, pal! Lol

And I'm saying you can't really compare buying secondhand because how is the OP supposed to find a deal like one you just happened to stumble upon? The OP is asking for reasons to buy one over the other. You brought up price. Now please tell the OP where to get the same price you did. You're acting like I'm saying the Procharger is a bad kit. I'm simply disputing several claims that "it's much" cheaper when in reality it is not.

Like I said OP, you can get 15% off a Whipple kit right now. That puts a stage 2 kit to your doorstep for under 7k:thumbsup:

Every system has there pros and cons. We like whipples and we like turbos but.... you really can't go wrong pending your goals.
