Just buy a 6 rib belt and use the stock crank pulley until you swap over.
As in use the 10 rib setup but just run a 6 rib belt on it? Would that really work?

On a side note with a standard 6 rib crank pulley how small of a driven pulley can one use before needing to step up to the 10 rib system? When does slippage become an issue?

Yes on a 10 rib system you always have the ability to run a smaller belt but you won't be taking advantage of the greater surface area of the pulleys then.

Hmm, figured the pulleys like the idlers etc would need the edges at a 6 rib width to prevent any walking of the belt. I will check into this further, but for me the $500 cost of the stock diameter ATI is worth the spend, as I can resell it once I go bigger. I really don't want to push this thing very hard without a aftermarket damper.

You should be able to get away with a 3.5 and maybe as low as a 3.250 but usually under that you wont have enough surface contact with a 6 rib.

I'm on the 3.0 standard ati, I see 17-18 peak boost. Should be pretty close 875-900@ 7800rpm with enough timing.

Also go ahead and get the ARH 2" primaries, same if not more power under less boost. They will help more after you build the motor and head work, but why buy headers twice. Sounds to me like this is round one for you?

I would check out the MGW, from the looks of your build your going to need the solid linkage included versus the tri ax just being a new shorter stick.

Yep, round 1 for me. Thanks, didn't realize that 1/8" really made a diff but I also haven't had a motor where I could spin it so high, lol. My hemi made peak power around 6500-6600rpms.

I bought a standard OD 10 rib ATI balancer so that I have options for pump gas and e85.

Good info, I actually might have a lead on an MGW, I just feel like as of now the tri ax feels pretty good, guess it changes a lot once you're making more power (car is stock now except for cat back).

I've been told the shine most above 1,000hp. I will upgrade and ceramic goat them when I do my motor build. Have all the makings for a very fast car! Congrats and good luck!

If you need them sooner, look at DSS. I have their 1400's with 0 issues.

Yep I considered them, I just liked how much beefier the Gforce/Ford ones were. I will wait it out for now, I don't know who I am kidding that I will everything else done by then anyhow lol. I didn't even install my new max jack yet in my garage
