Just called up the dealer to see where we were and was told special orders haven't opened back up yet. I must be patient...
I call BS on that dealer, I just ordered a 2017 a month ago from Huntington Beach Ford. It just went into production today too.

Really? I thought they could order anytime for the 350/R as long as its in the model year. '18 MY ordering hasn't opened up.

We've got word by a few guys here that they have gotten scheduled for production of their '17 models, so the 350 has been started to get built for the closeout of the '17 MY. '18 MY ordering should start around april/may.
Yes, production seems to have started back up in the last week or two. Mine (ordered November 1) showed up on COTUS the week before last, and the status updated to "In Production" last Friday.

It could be the case that the regional person who doles out allocations is holding your dealer's allocation until later. Even then, though, the dealer should still be able to put the order into the system so that it's picked up once they have their allocation.

I have had a 2017 67U package car on order since June. I just got a call from my dealer today saying in order to get the car built that I would have to switch to 67T. Issue is I prefer the seats in the 67U package, I am 6' 230 but with a large butt lol. Anyone else finding the same situation? Not sure what to do honestly....any help would be appreciated!

Lots of us in the same situation. Ordered mine in May. I didn't want to change the seats so I am unable to get a 17 model. (They have even removed the leather seats from the online build page). I've sat in the Recaros and the bolsters on the seat cushion were just too tight for me. I am now waiting for the 18's to be released.

Thanks Troy, that is a huge help to me. I remember hearing about the seat issues in the fall but let it slide knowing they weren't building the cars over the winter months. Of course my dealer never called me, I called Ford Performance last week to check, and they said it wouldn't be built as the order was configured and the dealer just got back to me with the above. I am OK with the Recaros but was unaware of the 67U option being completely deleted. Your information coincides with theirs which I appreciate! I am changing to 67T and they indicate their regional will bump it up for build. Thanks for the reply, hugely helpful!

After just 11 months since placing my order, my dealer finally got their first "R" allocation of the year. Today I received the VIN# for my "R". I had almost given up on it. It's due to be built the week of April 10th, and arrive on the West Coast in mid May.

Anybody want a 2016 AG Tech Pack car with 4500 miles? My wife draws the line at 4 vehicles for 2 people.

sofa seats have same problem for those too tall or wide. I'm working on mine now to lower and come up with flatter seat. The factory seats can't be lowered. So looking into older mustang seats 2010-14 which can be lowered or a carid .

which can be ordered bare and have custom leather fitted. l bought some nice distressed Italian leather in burgundy. Also removing the armrests in the door panels and covering with same leather. shopping for a shop to do the stitching. Loss of airbag is a problem if I go with the carid, but 2014 mustang seats have one airbag. Eventually I'll have comfortable car.
PS I'll be selling my unused 2017 leather premium seats!!

I might be setting a record here. I know people have waited a long time for their order.

I found out yesterday that they are planning my build date for June / July and that I will have the car August or September. That will make it 14-15 months from the date I ordered it. I was able to confirm with ford the dealers allocation, so I'm now confident that it will get built.

That is a long time. It took 1 year and 3 days from order date to delivery on my 16, so you got me beat.

Finally got confirmation last Friday that mine has been scheduled for production the week of April 10th. Once I made the change to 67T the regional must have pushed it forward as he said he would! Now I have a VIN # and am inching closer to finally getting my GT350. Thanks to this forum and its members for the great information posted here!

I have my VIN, and as of this morning it has been moved into production. Estimated delivery date is 54 weeks after my order date. I'll need to sell the 2016 soon.

Another AG "R" with electronics package and white stripes.

California license plate "2017 R"
