Hi folks,

From my understanding, parking radar is not available for the GT350. At least mine didn't come with it, despite being fully loaded.

So the question is: Does anybody miss having a radar especially on the back?

Sorry if this is a stupid topic but I'm new to Ford let alone Shelby specialised vehicles.

After driving a vehicle with parking sensors front and rear, I don't think I'll buy another car without them. I parallel park a lot and they help a TON when trying to fit in a tight spot. But when the system is in basically everything now from econoboxes to hypercars, there is no reason not to offer it on a mustang (or the Focus RS, especially when they have it on the RS in Europe).

just a rearview camera, and yes I'm surprised it's just that. From what I know it comes with both mostly.

My only problem with my gt350 not having parking sensors is when I go from the wife's Lexus to my car, sometimes I forget that I have to use my eyes and reasonable judgement. I find myself waiting for the beeping that keeps my bumpers scuff free. Now if we have become such incompetent drivers that we NEED parking sensors, I pity us. That said, yeah I wish it had it.

I have no radars, just a rear camera which I'm sure you have and absolutely do not see a reason to have any radar... Front one may be warranted, but rear ??

I purchased an aftermarket sensor for the front, but have not installed it because I cant find a good place to mount the sensor where it isn't very noticeable or where it won't get damaged easily. The front of the GT350 does not allow much in options for mounting such a device.

I'd kill for a parking curb sensor in the front. Sometimes I don't want to back in :)

I also really miss blind spot detection and adaptive cruise control.

We have a new Volvo XC90 which has 4 cameras and makes a surround view appear on the Nav screen. Super cool and very useful. I'm not a fan of the parking sensors on any vehicle because I feel like they are overly sensitive and always making noise. For us the parking sensor beeps have become like a car alarm (meaning nobody pays attention to them). I'm glad the GT350 does not have this feature though I would not mind the surround view cameras as opposed to the single backup camera it has.

I had a 04 F150 supercrew with privacy glass and a shell with privacy glass. So any nuclear explosions would clearly be visible through the rear window, but anything less than that not so much.

So you learn to trust the sensors. You even learn exactly where the beep cadence for having just enough room between you and a object to still drop the tail gate. Or how to use it to hitch up.

I miss it given the tiny screen and garbage camera of my GT350. worse, back up lights are not sufficent, meaning I need to hit the brakes to see stuff at night.

Yeah I'd LOVE one for the front ot assist in keeping the splitter nice and pretty. If anyone finds a good and well hidden way to install I'd love to know

IMO ford should have put a front camera on all GT350, could auto activate at <5mph in 1st gear. The raptor has one for rock crawling for years now, and its not like they don't have to make millions of those little crappy cameras for a backup camera on every Ford sold in america.

Yeah I have the backup camera which provides a clear image but sometimes when you have to back up to like inches from a wall or something, the radar would have been a great +

Exactly! But I find the camera image quality at least decent. You should see my backup camera image of my 2009 X6. Grainy as fuck as soon as evening sets, barely can distinguish anything. On the GT350 I found the ISO and noise decent in night conditions.
