Anyone have a picture where this slot is? I've read about it in the manual and I looked in my cub holder (removed the rubber) and I'm not seeing anything

Did you remove the center cupholder/shifter trim piece? If you forget to plug in the connector under the cupholder area the car won't detect the key.

Nicely done, sir.

You didn't look hard enough. It's in the cup holder (back one I believe). It doesn't really stand out but its more of just an indentation when the key fits. I dont have my car with me right now or id run out and shoot a picture for you.

heres a video for your viewing pleasure

Sounds like a good place to splice a kill switch in. ?

Where would you put the physical switch so it'd be out of sight but not accidentally tripped?

Anywhere you could reach with a hidden pair of wires. Under the seat? Under the dash? Not sure. I haven't really looked closely yet. Anywhere a thief wouldn't think to look!

To be a real dick you could mount 3 switches next to each other, connect them all, but in different positions so you'd have to know the "combination". You can do the same thing with dead bolts on doors.

....or maybe just make sure the one switch is really out of the way.
