Is there anywhere around the Chicago area that I can take my car to get the calipers powder coated? I want the shop to be able to remove the calipers and reinstall them after coating. I.e I don't want to have to schlep around with the calipers and have the car on stands for a week .

After much "internets" searching, I'm going to answer my own question:

"Monster Performance Center" in Crete will remove, disassemble, powder coat my calipers and rotor hats, and then replace everything back.

Found another option: Charlie's Garage in South Chicago Heights will take your brakes apart, then send them 2 doors down to Coating Specialties for PCing.

Car was out of service for a week...but totally worth it.

PC-ing was done by Coating specialties in South Chicago Heights.
Brake removal/disassembly/re-assembly was done by Charlie's Garage right next door.

$589 for the calipers and rotors and $225 for the mechanic taking them apart and putting them back together The calipers were a metallic paint with clearcoat, so they cost more than a more "basic"color.
I believe it would've been $460 for a basic color.

I'll include a pic of them all taken apart, too.

No way in hell I'd ever attempt to do this myself. :)
