Hello everyone!

What would be the best month to actually sign with a dealership? :ford: They're telling me about some discounts/promotions going on in January (now), but will they actually be worse in Feb/Mar? Maybe they'll be better?

My current lease is up in mid-March, and guess what? I'm in the market for my first 'Stang! I could do either 2016 or 2017 model, but I don't think there are any 2016's left across Canada (V6 3.7L).

I'm open to anything really. Could buy/lease a new, or even buy a pre-owned.

Thanks so much for all your support

If you're trying to determine the best month to purchase, you're not negotiating hard enough. lol

end of the year when they want to clean the lots of older models to make room for the new models. also if u have cold winter months car dealerships are also slower then. also at the end of the month they are willing to negotiate more. i know because i work at a dealership.

If you want a deal wait for a 17 left over when the 18's start rolling in.

But then you might not get the color/options you want... I couldn't chance it.

Actually model years don't change with the calendar. The reason the end of the year would be the best time to buy a car is for tax reasons. Every car a dealer has on the lot has to have taxes paid for it. After that, the last days of the month for the salesmen who are anxious to meet their monthly quota, and just after the model year change which is in the summer would also among the best times to buy.
