The colors threads are really handy and I think it's time we have a collection of different interior pics to make it easier to find and compare. Here is what I gathered, please help add if missing anything major.

I want the ceramic interior, but I don't want the hideous white dash piece instead of the carbon fiber one. Why, Ford, why!!??!

It only looks like carbon fiber (maybe intentionaly?) but it isn't. Your not the first one to think so but it was answered already...

That Is Not Carbon Fiber...
It is Aluminum also, but has an Engine Turned Finish...

As Opposed to the Brushed Aluminium on the GT.

I have to agree with you too, the brushed aluminum is nicer looking.

Yeah, I knew it wasn't real carbon fiber, I should have said "carbon fiber look". What appears to be just white plastic in the ceramic-equipped cars is terrible. I hope that's for base models or something as the aluminum made to appear like carbon fiber looks much nicer. If it's not, that'll have to be one of the first upgrades.

I thought that Ford designer said they were 'relentless' in going for the best materials and quality?! She lied!:frusty:
Not necessarily. They are going for an aircraft theme, because of how the Mustang was named, so aluminum is much more appropriate. But it definitely looks a lot cooler than the dash in the one with the ceramic interior above.

I hate how the car makers (mostly American made) are not giving you a choice of an actual interior color. These days if you want an interior color other than black all you really get is a colored seat and maybe a colored insert in the door, but everything else is still black. I liked on my older Mustangs how a red interior was red from headliner to carpet. Same with my tan interior '07. Now if you want tan all you get is tan seats, and not even the entire seat is tan, just the actual seating surface, the rest of the seat is black. I noticed how Chevy did the same when the 2010 Camaro came out and I thought it looked cheap.

I like the two tone interior seat colors but agree it would be nice to have the option of having the entire interior one color. I'd like to see this as an anniversary package option at least.

OK, Again... This Is NOT Carbon Fiber or Even Faux Carbon Fiber. It Is a Finish Called Engine Turned Aluminum!

As for the Dash in the Ceramic Interior that Is NOT White Plastic. It is Brushed Aluminum. The Lighting is just washing it out.

It will look just like this...

I really like the turned aluminium finish..........not the first muscle/pony car to feature it though ;)

Also featured in some high-end cars, too :)

The Engine Turned Finish has been used in Automobiles for Decades. Bugatti is Notorious for Using it in their Classic Cars and they still useit in their Modern Cars. It is Also Used in a lot of Aviation Aplications.
