Livernois Motorsports is now releasing it's Flex Fuel upgrade system for the 2015-2016 F150 equipped with the 3.5 EcoBoost engine.

This system allows for use of all ethanol blend pump fuels up to full E85, all without the need of switching tunes, or manually checking ethanol content each time you fill up. Years of R+D have resulted in this upgrade system to allow your F150 to have true OEM-style flex fuel operation, allowing it to adjust the calibration to recognize and accommodate any amount of ethanol in the fuel system up to, and including 85%.

Featuring our Firestorm Upgraded High Pressure Fuel Pump and MyCalibrator tuner, this complete system allows for functionality people have been clamoring for for years, all while ensuring the safety, performance, and reliability that is the corner stone of the Livernois Motorsports line of products.

These charts below show the loss in fuel pressure with the stock pump vs. the corrected pressure issue with our Firestorm HPFP.

Very cool, but is this the right place to post this?
This is applicable to the 2.3L as well that will be available very shortly!

I assume they're talking about a true flex fuel tune where you could put in any blend of ethanol and the ECU adjusts automatically. That's why I was surprised. Not exactly sure how that works without a flex fuel sensor on the car.

Several Coyote tuners have FF tunes without the sensor. It uses some pretty complex algorithms to determine ethanol content. It was only a matter of time before someone applied the same techniques for our engines. With that said, this is very good and exciting news.

To clarify, the charts will be applicable for flow increase on pump gas for the 2.3L.
Down the road, ethanol tuning might become available but that requires more testing and R&D on the 2.3L that has not begun as of this current moment.

Think it is strictly about flow increase of hpfp.. Maybe see similar numbers for ebm flow wise

Good info but maybe be a little more specific about how this pertains to the ebm.

Seems like the HPFP will be available with the same output/design but there won't be any ethanol tunes for a while. So just a HPFP upgrade.

So not sure exactly where we're going with this but to be clear this is no help to anyone right? By all means correct me if I'm wrong but flow isn't an issue for anyone running pump gas? The ebm is limited by octane at least when on the stock turbo

OK, just want to clear up some items on this, to help shed some light as to why we posted an F150 release on the Mustang forum.

#1. our fuel pump will be released rather shortly for the 2.3 EB Mustang

#2. we plan on offering a similar option for flex fuel tunes (no, not just ethanol tunes) for the EB Mustang

#3. We actually have done some flex fuel cal, and pump testing for the Focus RS, and that has shown exceptional promise for the Mustang as well.

So, this is really a precursor for that release, but also, many people tow their Mustangs with an F150, so there is a lot of potential overlap on ownership as well.
