Me crazy, and I can't help myself
I am looking at getting a custom steering wheel for the GT350, i don't however want to use my OEM steering wheel as core/donor because i want to keep it in case i want to return the car to stock.

The question i had is can i buy a regular steering wheel for a v6/ecoboost/gt and use that? I know it will physically fit but the controls on the wheel for a GT350 are different so i imagine the wiring etc is different. Can i just migrate that over from my OEM wheel?

Brand new GT350 or GT350R steering wheels are retailed under $400 each.

Sorry but this doesn't answer my question. I know how much these wheels cost.

Beith is one of the companies i am looking at, unfortunately they don't offer one of the design elements I'm looking for, the company who does doesn't have any mustang core wheels so you need to provide one. I am just trying to figure out if i can provide a core from a regular mustang instead of a GT350 as there is a significant price difference.

dron_jones.........see new post I just put up about custom steering wheels on the visual/cosmetic thread. The guy at Socal garage works can do ANYTHING you want as far as design. He has several pictures of wheels that he has built and can sell you one outright or do a core return/refund.

Yes, you can. The wheels they make are off of regular Mustang steering wheels.
