I have one in Competition Orange with a 5.0 V8 motor.

Well according to the parking ticket I got at Christmas anyway

The warden does have a point though. The Mustang is as close as we'll ever get to a new Capri. No surprise, really, as the Capri was introduced once Ford of Europe realised what a massive success the Mustang was Stateside.

The project name for the first Capri was Colt.....

:lol: brilliant! Love the thought of a warden stood scratching their head for 5 mins thinking "WTF is that?"

I'm amazed he worked out that it is a Ford. Must be the bit by the rear view mirror.

I'm contesting the ticket but with loads of pics of it and my plate I doubt I'll get off, despite it looking red

Better find the owner of that car and hand the fine to them, until then, you're free ;)!

from my experience , if they get a detail on the ticket wrong, the ticket is null and void. at least up here

Always remember meeting a mate of a mate once. I had previously been told he was full of bullshit and sure enough, he started telling me he was buying a V8 Capri. I said are you sure its not a V6, he said nah, its a V8.

I met him again about 3 months later and he asked if I wanted to see his Capri. Sure enough, he had one and lurking under the bonnet? A small block chevy V8!...He became my friend!
