Hi all,

Looking to have a garage install upgraded oil pump gear and lower crank sprocket on my GT in the next couple of weeks.

Has anyone had theirs done by a garage in SoCal that they can recommend? I'm located in Irvine, so would like to keep to local garages. I want somewhere that has done the job before, I don't want my car to be a guinea pig for anyone to learn on.

Hillbank in Lake Forest are an option, but I would like to know if anyone has other recommendations?

Thanks in advance,

Tim

Bump on this.

I've got a few quotes, but the best quote is also the furthest away (3 hour round trip).

Any else had a Orange County garage install their upgraded OPG?

Prices vary on install. For well known bigger shops, expect to pay $1200-$1500.

For smaller shops you can get it done for $600-$1000.

For anyone in the Orange County area, I can vouch for Coyote Performance Racing in West Covina. They are the ones who just did my OPG and the car has been home for over a week now with a zero oil leaks or issues...car runs sweet as a nut.

They are a small shop, but they have done the job on numerous cars and did mine in 2 days with no issues or delays. Pricing was in the middle range from the quotes I had ($600-$1500) and overall I was pleased with their service.

They do not have a website but you can reach them on Instagram. If you don't use Instagram, I am happy to pass on the email contact to anyone interested.
