Update time.
Where to begin?
Well, for some reason Shopmate had a brain-fart and somehow the Lund tune/Ngauge finally arrived today, along with some other bits. The Lund gear has been sitting in Sunshine West VIC since the 12th of December.
You're looking at Steeda camber arms, Steeda LCA bearings, Ford Racing toe knuckle bearings and Steedas adjustable diff bushing insert kit.
Today I ordered two sets of UPR's engine mounts. I was going to get in on the whole group-buy thing but realised that it would be best to lower the engine whilst doing the extractors. Added bonus is that the custom exhaust section will meet up at the engines new height rather than the old = slightly better fitment.
Tune, extractors and all these bits will happen in a fortnight, followed very shortly by wheels!! :headbang:

Did you get the tune pre loaded to gauge? what options did you get them to tune in for you?

Yes, the tune is pre-loaded.
Options I selected were:
LT headers with 3" exhaust
No dash gauge (oil pressure?)
93 octane (very similar to our 98)
Manual trans.
I also opted for the extra "cam tune" even though I'm running cats.
I queried them on this and they said they wouldn't run the car like that for more than a few minutes, fine by me. I just wanted to have a play.
Basically, I told them as much as I could about the vehicle.
The revisions will improve the accuracy of the tune at each step, so it's not a HUGE deal if you miss something small.

Flashed the new tune across today. Very simple. Took 8 minutes because it grabs the stock tune the first time around. Subsequent flashes won't take half this long.
Headers aren't installed yet so it threw up the CEL as expected.
Took it for a very short drive just to get an idea of driveability etc.
Throttle response is improved, that's immediately obvious.
I also tried to replicate the situation I often get from the factory tune when booting it from lower rpm in third gear, where the car hesitates for a second or so before committing to my pedal position - "are you SURE you want to go?"
Couldn't make the car hesitate at this point in time.
So far, so good.
I won't be pushing the car until the headers are installed and datalogging has commenced.
