Great work ,well done. What a great forum this is for us NZ & Aussie Mustangers, the information gained here is mostly likely more knowledgeable than what most know even in the industry. Well done

Perhaps we need to poll the people who are getting their cars quickly to see why it is that Ford move them up the waiting list. We who passively wait without making a fuss are being walked all over.

Is Ford not processing orders in the order they receive them? The clever 'manual' ordering number system that is a series of letters, not numbers, potential helps disguise manipulation. Without this forum, who would have ever known what was going on?

My wait time is likely to be close to 365 day (the slowest 2016 placed order), about the same wait period as some people who ordered in mid 2015 before the extra 2000 cars were allocated to Australia!!!!

Should I be aggrieved that some are getting their GTs in less than 300 days, nearly 200 days in some cases?

I know I should be grateful for being able to buy a Mustang at all, but this really is starting to %&^$# me off.

Sometimes it's a bad timing on when they're placing the batch of orders as well as the ships schedule etc.

But I think we should all collectively (like I did), send an email to executives from both Ford US and AU to do something about this ridiculous ordering process and transparency.

Mark Fields - [email protected] or [email protected]
Alicia Thompson - Marketing Manager [email protected]

I too feel like there are only a handful of people pulling strings on all the orders and guarantee there are some shenanigans going on.

Last discussion with a person at my dealership I found out that going forward each dealership will be given certain number of allocations per month or per year, but ultimately the order still goes through Ford AU and the same people control the list.

Send them an email and complain about the shit customer service and non-transparent ordering process. Hope we'll be able to make some impact.

The dealer principle actually rang me up chasing me to sign off the ordering form, saying they need to consolidate all the orders for the month and forward to Ford AU.
I am guessing they will only forward all the orders end of month to Ford AU and Ford AU would probable be doing the same monthly forwarding to Ford USA.
If that's the case, then I can imagine my order will not reach Ford factory 2 months from my date of order

Don't forget the 'wait list' as Ford AU can only submit certain numbers per month or quarter, as the factory can only produce 20-30 RHD cars a day (for all RHD markets). So your order can be sitting with Ford AU for quite a while, and that's where things can get out of order I reckon.

I've requested edit privileges but happy just to leave the only info I have here:

Order date: 17/6/2016.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does NSC stand for?
