Mustang order cycle times - spreadsheet

Hi All,

Saw something similar to this on the UK board and thought I'd replicate it

I've pulled together some data from random signatures and created a snapshot of what the order cycle times look like. Where people only mentioned a month and not a specific day for the different metrics, I have used the 15th of that month.

Obviously the sample size is quite small, however we do seem to see a steady decline in waiting times

For anyone else thinking of putting more information up, the main dates we are looking for are:
Order
Build
Delivery
NSC receipt
VIN receipt

It would also be greatly appreciated if you could also advise if it is a GT or EcoBoost

Thanks Namda. Unfortunately it only confirms that my car isn't going to reach me in any better time (365 days according to Ford) than some mid 2015 orders...hmm.

According to your data, and excluding a couple of people who obviously received preferential treatment or similar, plus an obvious NZ order, the averages are:

Cycle_Time_Days = 369
Cycle_Time_Weeks = 52.8
Cycle_Time_Months = 12.1
Order to Build = 284
Build to Delivery = 85

Build to Delivery is probably the most relevant stat.

ORDERED: 29/1/16
NSC: July 2016
VIN: Sep 2016
Built 25/10/16
Delivery estimated by Ford at late January 2017...

Not sure that we should write off those ones with short cycle times. Also I would imagine the NZ order to build time would be similar to AU.

In either case, I'm very keen to see some more recent figures to see if this downward trend can be confirmed

New Zealand definitely has a shorter wait time (I'm a Kiwi and know a few people with new Mustangs back home). There was a time when people in Oz were trying to get New Zealand dealers to order them cars because the wait is closer to six months there. The dealers refused :-)
