Where did you get the lower Ecoboost grill?

Is it a straight swap on our EU bumper or does it need modifications to fit?

I really don't like the stock one and would like to change it.

YLA G, you officially started my mod fever! :p

I just found (and bought) the grill.
OEM Part# FR3Z-17K945-AA
Hope it fits.

Still waiting for my car... (currently between Bremerhaven and Zeebrugge on the WWL Tamerlane)

I have it done on my car... dealer did it for me. Was a straight swap, fits perfectly. However they did have to remove the entire bumper for it.

Just did 20 km with it. I am hearing a strange sound in the background in 1st, 2nd gear and stick shift to the left. Is that the same problem nicolas???

It's hard to explain the sound, not loud but it's there

Watch out with the US bottom grill. I ordered a full GT US set at newtakeoff but didn't use the lower part (with fangs that is).

If you use it on EU (export) or Canada cars it seems you'll have to deconnect the block heater !

Check the thread I opened a year ago !! time flies...(when driving a mustang :D)

Don't think so, with mine it is very noticeable (loud) and in every gear...

What I ordered is the US ECOBOOST lower grill (not the GT).
I think that here in Italy we get no plug-in block heater. And no ACC .

Papinist have you got a block heater?
Nicolas05 have you got a block heater? I understand that your lower grill swap has been without issues...

I've seen various German cars upgraded with the lower grill with fangs without issue.

Are you sure we have this ugly letterbox lower grill because of our cars being equipped with block heaters? I've never heard of that and according to this post if they were we should have received a connecting cable with the car.

So whether or not our cars are equipped with a block heater the US lower grill will at worst block a block heater connector that might be down there. I don't see why that would be a problem, unless you live in Scandinavia perhaps.

No block heater in our cars.. there is NOTHING behind the lower grille. You can check my pictures in the led tribar thread.
