+1 for the S/C V8. Works best for the drag strip.

Even if they were to ever change up the RWD layout it wouldn't be just for a HiPo model it would be for a whole new platform and I hope they dont. AWD will add weight which is what they should be fighting for the next one.

Ecoboost v8 + AWD

*drops the mic. Walks off stage*

This would make the most sense.

You get ultra exotic performance from the TT v8 and the best grip possible from AWD.

Functional. Efficient. And bad to the bone.

The car is going to be expensive. Might as well earn it.

It wasn't included because I wanted to see what people here felt if the suggested options were the only options.

So far they would be the only options seeing there have been rumours of TTV6 + AWD, Ecoboost V8, and SCV8 would be minimum.

To my knowledge there has been no mention of a TTV8 with AWD so to include it is a bit unrealistic.

IMO: TT 5. 2 FRP engine modified for boost 725 hp auto option. Would love to see an awd model but no v6 please.

Understood.

But it's obvious that adding AWD to the v6 while removing the option from the v8 equation creates an a fair and misleading advantage for the 6.

There are s lot of misleading ideas coming out about the ttv6 lately.

Such as comparing it to an n/a v8.
Mow s compare apples to apples across the board.

No one would choose a v6 over the v8 with all other things being equal.

Engineer the 8 with as much care and investment as the 6 and give it everything it needs to make effective use of its power.

The zl1 just came out. Looks cool. Lt4 is ok. 10 speed auto? Game changer.

The gt500 should use fords version of the joint venture 10 speed and add AWD to a TTV8. Game changer? Nope. Game over.

Adding awd to the mustang is a pipe dream. The last thing the s550 needs is more weight. Not even sure if ford is using a TT for the gt500. Usually they use the cobra jet program to pilot the gt500. Fords performance division has a lot on its plate with Ford GT, Focus RS, GT350. Not sure if money is going towards r&d with a twin turbo v8 setup, for a limited production car too.

Would be nice to have a TT from factory mustang, just don't see it happening.

Nothing is a pipe dream.

But even if it were, it's still misleading to offer a v6 with AWD but remove that option from the v8. Creates an unfair advantage which seems designed to artificially make the v6 more attractive. In reality it doesn't. It simply makes one want AWD. With a TT v8

Simple math.

And even without the AWD, a TT v8 with 10 speed auto would be killer.

But add AWD and you are throwing fear into the high dollar crazy car territory.

The Camaro zl1 was announced. It looks good and stands to perform.

Ford can easily dominate with what would simply amount to (flame suit on) a gt350 with ecoboost v8 and 10 speed auto. It would KILL the zl1. Again. As in fry it in a pan for breakfast.

Miss either of these two and you have a repeat of 2013. A car which should have outperformed the zl1 by a much greater margin than it did already.

Let it shift itself for maximum quickness and give it all the power from a TT V8.

AWD is the icing on that cake. But even without it would be fantastic. Just give it enough tire.
