That seems like a great way to go, and help pay for the Voodoo as well. The last Mach 1 had lots of little goodies over a GT aside from the DOHC vs SOHC.

I went from a mach 1 to my S550. I would LOVE to have a new mach 1.

I'd like to see the engine upgraded as well. GT350 heads/intake on the base 5.0 short block would do nicely, include the ford racing quad exhaust with GT350-style axle backs, and a CS pedestal spoiler, of course matte black.

I did the same. Got rid of my 2003 Azure Blue Mach 1 and bought a 16' GT California. I am hoping for a new Mach 1 as well!

Any pics of your current ride jpilone? I'd love to see the back end especially with that exhaust set up.

Thanks!!

Nice! Much appreciated......I would like to think if the Mach 1 comes out it would have a quad tip exhaust.....I like the look....Good job!
It just looks 110% better with the quad tip!

Yep! And REAL quad tips, not like that crap on the gt350
The magnaflows I have are real quad tips. The ford and corsas all use a Y-pipe style quad tip.

Yep, a 5.2 CPC with a solid 475hp and 440 lb/ft would be perfect. Not the first time I've sad that, and probably won't be the last :p

You listening, Ford? :ford:
475 would be.....very conservative ;) It'd see some nice numbers with bolt ons.

Assuming a 5.2 CPC Coyote keeps the current 5.0's 1.44 HP/CI, a 317ci (5.2) Coyote would make 457 HP (456.6 rounded up) HP just on the displacement increase alone. Torque would rise to 420 foot lbs from the displacement increase.

Adjusting the tune to accommodate the extra airflow, along with revised cams, I think a 5.2 CPC Coyote based motor would make a comfortable 465 HP @ 6,700 RPM /425 TQ @4,500 RPM.

440 TQ is not possible in a production configuration due to the fact that it must pass emissions and run on 93 octane pump gas. It would also need to use a version of the GT350 intake manifold and 5.0 throttle body.

The version I linked is sitting at 582/441 on 105 octane through longtube headers, so 465 hp would be pretty mild ;)
