Best tires for drag strip??

Finishing twin turbo build that will be in the 800whp range, what is the best front and rear setup for 17" wheels today?

I know we have had some new choices out and wanted some up to date info. Does not have to be street legal tire but would be nice if it was.

What are the guys(or gals) running in this power range?

These work well on my buddies car. I'm going to try them out this spring

Cut 1.3 60fts on this tire with ease.

Very streetable tire as well.

Auto or manual?

It is a automatic with no trans mods other than a jms transbrake which I am debating even using after many posts I have read about it breaking the case.

Also on the front tires it seems the only 2 questions are 26" or 28" and does the sportsman tire from MT really ok with such a low speed rating? Anyone heard of any issues at speeds above 130?

i ran 17" darkstars with hoosier drag fronts and the 28x10 rear at about 15psi. cut a 1.68 60 foot on a 1500rpm launch with no converter.

im going to a 20" drag radial soon just for convenience. i dont drag race much at the track and just want tires to play around on.

So it looks like Mickey Thompson ET Street R 305/45/17 and the sportsman ss front 28/6/17. Just FYI the speed rating of H on those front tires is actually higher than the rating on the drag front runners which we see go 260mph in the quarter on the fastest cars out there. So they are good to go for anything I will be throwing at it.
