He was probably thinking of C5Zs...which have held around 20-25k for the last 5 years...

ZR1 for 55k?! Where? I research car prices on an unhealthy basis and haven't seen one that low.

Not trying to troll, just legitimately curious where you found that price for one with a clean title
Unhealthy basis? I guess you arent searching enough, I did a quick search before I hit the submit button and there are a few in the upper 50's, some even less than 10k miles. These cars have been in $60s for quite awhile already.
There is a red one for $52k w/$58k miles.

I only bring up clean title cars, salvage is a waste of time. I'm sure brand dealerships do not sell salvage title cars. Right now, winter time, is the best time to buy a used sports car.

As an old guy with several Vettes, I also wanted to consider various C7 models (not Z06 due to blower). I bought the 350 because it is a true track focused car. (If it doesn't make it go faster, take it out.)

The various Vette models all add the track goodies on top of everything else. And much of the add ons are cosmetic. No way to get a weight reduced model for the track. Jettison all the street crap not needed on track. I guess I represent such a small part of the market, no one builds them. Actually, Ford won't either next year. All 350s get AC for MY17.

Cant wait to get my base R end of next month. Been a long 9 months. :frusty:

I don't care for the CC brakes...

I'd like the aggressive bodywork however...

Think I've found my first Chevy... Did I just really say that?... Ewww

I have a fever... A fever for more cowbell, I mean racecar.

Hey man, I truly value your opinion. You look like you're having way too much fun in that Z06... I have to explore my American opportunities, and for me, I would love to have a C7GS and a 350R. Can't think of anything better than that if the GS really turns out to be a winner.

There is just something about middle aged men driving a Corvette....it comes across as a little creepy.

That is one of the most ridiculous things ever posted here. :tsk:

In your world, what cars are appropriate for what ages?

Never understood the "mid life crisis" term - always saw it as success. Probably coined by some scorned woman who was jealous of a car.

The C7 GS almost makes me regret the GT350. Almost.

It's definitely the C7 that I'd want. If they had done something with the engine to make it more responsive, then I'd really consider one.

There, there. Why don't you go outside and take a few doses of GT350 to wash away the pain.

I did (2 C4s, a 94 LT1 and a 96 LT4), and I was (wrecked the LT4 with less than 5k miles on it).
