Enhanced Security Center Console Locks

Can anyone else confirm if their center console locks when the doors lock, or when the vehicle is put into valet mode?

When I attempt either one, I can hear an electronic switch at the console...but for the life of me I cannot get the center console to lock.

Hi, I haven't used the valet mode yet, but I can confirm that my center console does lock when the doors lock, I discovered it accidentally some time ago

Yes, my center console locks when I enable valet mode.

Well hell, it looks like I need another trip to the dealer.

I've been meaning to ask around as to if anyone knows of a gun safe out there that fits the center console in a Shelby.

I have an awesome one in my '17 Raptor, but that a huge area. I'm guessing the Mustangs couldn't accommodate even a very small one.

Dumb question but how do you put your cars in valet mode ?

The sync 3 has a mode for locking the nav so people can't look at your home address and stuff.
As far as the car, I think you lock the glove box with the key in the fob and just give the fob to the valet without the key so they can't open the glove box. In the old days, there is a valet key that is cut differently so valet can't open the the trunk and the glove box with it.

Yes, it locks when the doors lock. However, I have had it lock with the drivers side door unlocked and open and couldn't get the console to open. Even when I turned on accessory power it wouldn't open. I had to cycle the power and door locks a bunch of times. Thought it was gunna be a trip to the dealer but - alas! - she released eventually.

Yeah, I haven't been able to get it to lock since day one. I don't necessarily need it right now, but it would nice to have it fixed under warranty.
