ZL1 vs GT350 head to head next week!

I think the ZL1 will beat the GT350R in performance. But hey its a NA vs SC engine. So not quite apples to apples.

Should be interesting but I think the ZL1 is going to stomp the GT350. That thing is a beast!

That will be cool to watch.

For me my i always think that if you always pick a car to be the fastest you are going to always be let down with your purchase. If you pick it because its cool and you love it, you only have to worry when something cooler comes out. ZL1 is cool but not cooler than the GT350 (to me)

The ZL-1 will be faster than the GT350 on the track, since Randy is driving both cars. The GT350 will be better looking, sound better, have better ergonomics, be easier to see out of...

The 350 will be less ugly and won't have a toilet seat for a hood

It would be interesting so see if they ran the cars for a few laps to how long it takes till the ZL1 gets heat soak.

In smiles per mile the 350R will win. Randy doesn't seem to enjoy the ZL1 as much as he did the 350R. [ame]

Yeah Im not sure why to even compare the cars... only thing they have in common is the price. Both around 65k. Assuming they drive the R. Im just waiting for that GT500 vs ZL1 comp.

I'll probably never own a Camaro but I greatly respect GM's efforts in this endless battle of one-upsmanship. And while I have no doubt that Ford will leapfrog past the new ZL1/1LE with their next top tier Mustang in terms of performance, I also have no doubt that dealers will once again taint the experience by holding the car hostage/demanding a king's ransom.

I still have not seen any confirmation that he'll be driving a R. Just says GT350.

If he doesnt drive the R then I prob wont even watch. Im sure he will be.

I love that Randy was faster in the Manual ZL1 1LE, at least for one lap.

I think the ZL1 looks good. Will it beat any 350 around a track? Probably. The car is a freaking beast. But a 350 R is not the same price as a ZL1 out in the market. Dollar for dollar, the ZL1 is closer to a standard 350 with some options.
Regardless, looking forward to the head to head!

ZL1 starts at 61K with no dealer markup... Pretty sure a GT350R will cost you more than that.
