Tried a search but didn't find what I was looking for.

Anyone have any input on which camber / caster plates for a GT350 R?

Vorshlag?
Shelby?
Maximum Mortorsports?

I've read that Vorshlag is the way to go, but they are nearly twice the cost of Shelby c/c plates.

Looks like the install is pretty straightforward. Most doing this one their own or having a shop do the install /alignment?

TIA

I went with MM plates because I heard Track Attack uses them in their cars without issue. Good enough for them and half price of others. I went with R track settings and just leave it there full time. I have street and track wheels and it works perfect for both.

My dealer installed them and did alignment before I put 1 mile on car.

For a much more affordable solution see BMR. BMR makes camber bolts good for -2.7 camber. I installed them on both my R and track pack. The only concern is if you go with wider wheels or tires because of strut clearance. On a stock setup 0 issues and I also am full time on FP track specs.

I really don't think those under sized bolts are good idea for a track car.

While I tend to agree, we have not seen issues.

We have been heavily tracking our 2015 car for over two years now on Hoosier R7s (18x10.5 HRE wheels square) and we have not seen an issue with them losing clamping force or slipping.

I attribute this to the newer S550 platform having larger hardware - so the "smaller" bolts, end up being a stronger bolt than what the 2005-2014 Mustang racecars have. Our bolts are an M14 Grade 12.9 design, with a TQ spec of over 120ftlbs.

Previous model Mustangs had smaller M14 Grade 10.9 hardware from the factory, with the "crash bolts" being a smaller M12 design with a TQ spec of only around 77ftlbs.

On my personal 2016 GTPP - I use a combination of the BMR Camber Bolts maxed out inboard, with the BMR CC Plates up top. I am a big fan of the combination of parts, personally.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Still doing some research, but leaning towards MM camber/ caster plates.

Will update with my feedback.

I just purchased Vorshlag for my R, as so many on this forum said they are "a work of art". The came in a few days and I will probably put them on myself. They look really nice and will match the race red paint.

Vorshlag FTW. I agree with czaustin, quality built, functions, and "a work of art".
