Car looks and sounds great! How did the 3.73 gear install go? Were you able to use the original aluminium housing? Or swap out the complete pumpkin?

He has a 6M so it would have come with a cast iron carrier.

No need to swap out the carrier wether cast iron or the automatics alum carrier. You will need the different differential though. I took a series of vids to provides tips, i just havnt put them all together yet.

I did just the gears, couldnt afford the whole unit. I ended up replacing my rear hubs while i was at it. Bearings were trash already with 31k on it

Good job. Since there is a 3.55 w/torsen available in 2018+ I hope Ford Performance will offer the complete pumpkin with 3.55 w/torsen like they do with the 3.73 currently.

I drove a V6 M/T a few months ago (stock) and couldn't help but thinking it needed the 3.73. Interesting... possible track snake with the V6 and a 3.73.

You have a bad case of the heel and toe. Best get to the track to cure that.

BTW nice videos. Wish I atleast had 3.55 gears.

Dude how much does this cost? The one thing that drives me crazy is the long gears. Is 6th gear actually useable on 3.73? How easy was the install? I need to do this asap.

Well gears arnt something you can just install. You need special tools, amd somebody who has alot of experience installing them. Now, you can but the pre loaded rear ends with 355 or 373 gears and thats a pretty easy install, but actually swapping the gears into your current rearend is alot of work. Cost me 500 for parts and my dad helped do the gears portion.

5th gear is actually usable now lol. 6th is about 2500rpm goibg 70
