Hey guys

I figured we could use a general thread to collect our random updates on ideas, part orders, mods, etc that don't really fit in existing topics and also don't qualify for opening a whole new topic. So let's spam away and keep each other updated on what's going on around your Stangs.

I'll start with a cool mod I did today together with Hennie @ Lek Import Cars.

Those of you who get out of their cars and keep the engine running for example to go and open a gate or a garage door might be familiar with the super annoying double horn honk that follows after closing your door.

Apart from holding your key against the left rear size window while closing the door (this actually works ) there is no way to switch this off, not even via IDS (the dealer diagnosic system).

Unless now A guy named Jason @ www.fordpimods.com has developed a software fix that can be put into your car's firmware using the IDS system. So it's not a DIY fix, you will need to find a friendly dealer or a Ford specialist who has the official Ford IDS software. For $25 Jason will set you up with a datafile that is customized to your VIN. Hennie installed it for me today and poof the double honk is gone forever. Such a simple mod, but such a pleasure. And my neighbours love it too.

my next upgrade will be... stop with the upgrade!
But only because I'll leave for my third US vacation on 2 of march, and will be back on 24 of march I will still read and reply to the forum, but can't do much more, apart seeing mustang all the day

I'd like the tribar front light but can't afford to leave the car with the mechanic for 2-3 weeks :( (no private garage and I don't want to disassemble the car myself)...

Anyone figured out if there's a way to get drive modes to stick between drives? Getting tired of always putting the car in wet&snow mode and flicking the steering into sport...

California\Nevada\Utah\Arizona as the previous years, but about 50% different places and this time with my parents. The occasion is that my brother will be married in Vegas with his girlfriend

I would love a double horn after the alarm is on.

I would love to have the typical US 'alarm on' sound...Eric you told this might eventually be done through IDS. Can you upload a sound in it?
Can Hennie check this out?

I would like to have the function that the car automatically closes the doors when you drive...
That way that no one can open the car when you are at a red light (not that my neighborhood is that dangerous but my previous car had this function and you feel more safe)

I doubt you can upload a sound, but we'll check. Not sure when I have an opportunity though.

Seconded. The American style 'autolock' would be very appreciated.

Okay I'll check for autolock and locking beep/honk.

Installed the new SCT standard EU tune today. Works excellent. There is a noticable improvement in power but the main difference is that the torque band is now much smoother and the 'dip' between 3500 and 5000 rpm is gone.
