I finally replaced the windshield wiper blades today. I had the same set on since I picked the car up in November of 2014. They were still working decently. Good blades!

Any updates, Tony? Love your oil analysis!
Thanks for asking! Below was the last oil analysis. I should be doing only one more before the '19 Bullitt comes in and replaces this vehicle.

Also, in terms of problems, my left puddle light needs replacing, although the distortion of the image is not that bad. A small tear developed in the left front bottom seat bolster, even as careful as I am to not crease it and keep the material conditioned. I had 1 repair done about a month ago, and another one tomorrow to correct some secondary tears.

Maintenance-wise, other than normal oil/filter, I replaced the tires at 40,500 miles, which probably was about 3,000 miles too long but they were still passable for normal commuting, even in the wet. There was a bit of slippage near the end of the time I had the originals on the wheels. Found a person who did a phenomenal job mounting the replacement Pirelli OEM A/S tires without any wheel damage - whew!

It's overall been a good car mechanically.

It looks great! Seems like the vehicle has served your purposes well.

What options did you order for the Bullitt?

It has. No options (not even the car cover).

OP, great build thread!

Which brand of oil have you been using for all of your oil changes? I'm too lazy to look.

I haven't done much building since it's all stock :-)

Motorcraft 5W20 semi-synthetic blend, which is the recommended oil.

Thanks for this info, Tony. It reinforces my thought on waiting until 5000 miles for the first oil change. As I already mentioned, I changed the oil on my GT/CS to full synthetic at 1000. It smoked lightly at startup for years. Then last year I drove it on a Route 66 trip to California and home to Central PA. It finally then quit smoking at startup and ran better than ever! It just needed the extra 7000 on the clock to settle in. By then it had 27000 on it. In my personal opinion, the 1000 mile change was too early, and especially to fully synthetic oil. I suppose if it is really needed, Ford would specify it. After all, they’d make more money on selling higher priced oil to all the Coyote powered Mustang owners.

I believe exported Bullitts are filled with 5W-30. In time, I might switch to that grade for better summer protection.

On another matter, I could only get 850 miles on the Bullitt before the PA winter hit early. It has seldom seen more than 4500 rpm, but is already down a half quart. My garage is not heated, so about 2 weeks ago I connected a float charger to the battery. Glad I did, as it was quite low on charge.
