Before I started cutting, I called and found out that the Roush clean air pipe costs $85 and is in stock, so a replacement is only a few days away.

The 3" to 3.5" coupler works - but seems less than ideal. The 3" side goes on the clean air pipe... meaning that the outer diameter of the clean air pipe is 3" and the inner diameter is something less than that (2x the wall thickness). I measured the ID of the Roush to be 70mm where it connects to the throttle body. Why go to all the trouble to add an 80mm throttle body, if you are going to feed it with a 70mm pipe?

Has anyone tried using a stock GT intake with the GT throttle body on a V6? There's one for sale near me and it got me thinking... this setup with a drop-in K&N filter might be just as good as an aftermarket V6 CAI mated to the GT throttle body.

I think they are talking about the intake pipe, not the manifold
